If you follow any of our social media accounts and read this blog you will know that Becky and I are not dieters. Not at all! But even though eating and cooking are our favourite things we try to maintain a healthy lifestyle. We lead busy lives and it’s so easy to get into bad habits but rather than slipping in and out of fad diets I am trying to make healthy choices a part of my lifestyle. My new favourite tool to do that: The Healthy Life book by the gorgeous Jessica Sepel!
The book is, of course, full of really delicious recipes (berry omelette, anyone?) but more importantly there is a good chunk dedicated to Jessica’s philosophy on healthy living, managing stress and health issues. Every recipe in this book is written with nutrition and balance in mind. At the same time the recipes are not just food for the sake of nutrition, they are all dishes I actually want to eat! My favourite ones are the little convertible recipes where Jessica lists a lot of different interchangeable components so that I can create dishes as I like them but with all the nutritious elements in place.
If you are into healthy eating or are looking for something to inspire you to develop better habits this is the book for you!
