As all five minutes of summer draw to a close and autumn winter collections roll into stores, I feel the need to calm down. As in I want everything. There’s something about this time of year and the whole ‘September issue’ effect, that makes me desperately want to hit the shops in a frenzy for a complete wardrobe overhaul.
This year though, I’m exercising a little more discipline and instead of buying up the whole of Topshop, will be putting a little more thought into what I’m going to get most wear out of and sticking to a few key pieces.
First of which will be a long grey coat. I’ve had my eye on a Zara one that’s just recently hit stores which will be mine very shortly, where the camel coat left off last year the grey coat picks up this year, I love the combo of a quite formal silhouette but in a relaxed grey marl- I’m seriously trying to justify my buying another coat here…!
I particularly love this over jeans and a t-shirt with trainers during the day, which can then be swapped out for heels paired with a dark red lip to set you up nicely for an evenings gallivanting- easy as that!
