A couple of weeks ago my girlfriends and I treated ourselves to a little trip to County Kerry. We had a ball, we ate sweets, watched tearjerkers, had tea and chats... all the good stuff. A little bit of pampering was also greatly needed and we made our way down to the gorgeous Cloisters Spa at the Muckross Park Hotel in Killarney.We arrived in the morning and took advantage of the thermal suites. We were lucky, there were not too many people around so we had the place practically to ourselves (well, we had to share a little with a couple or two : )) The swimming pool, sauna & steam room are beautifully designed and the relaxation area is a dream with big comfy beds in a conservatory looking out onto a lovely and tranquil garden. The entire spa is designed to reflect the architecture and nature that surrounds it, the beautiful lakes, woods, the old abbey... While there, we each enjoyed a lemongrass full body exfoliation (which was absolutely lovely!!), a back, neck and shoulder massage and a facial - all of them amazing and much needed : ). The trip to the spa is truly a luxurious experience, the staff are lovely and extremely helpful. It is a very quiet and calm place which is perfect if you need to spend a few hours relaxing, clearing your head and just taking a little "me time".
